Here's how it works:
when you register, you get a secret code.
During the game, write down the codes of the people you find.
Enter them online after the game and become the world champion!
This helps seekers figure out who's playing, and who's just walking around. Make sure to wear it visibly! It's part of the fun.
When somebody finds you, tell them the four-digit code, so they can write it down. We can't stop you from lying, but if nobody finds you it's mighty suspicious.
Don't stop hiding just because you've been found once. You can keep playing until the round ends.
When you find someone, write down their secret code, so we know you found them. After the game, there'll be a form online to enter them, so we can tally your score.
The more seekers who find a hider, the less points each seeker recieves. So if you find someone, keep quiet!
The more valuable hiders will be those who are found less often. Be sneaky - don't waste your time on obvious hiders.
We'll tally the points and send out rankings and winners within a few days. No prizes, sorry.
But you can win honour and glory!
Wear it visibly on your hand, so that other players can identify you when you're hiding.
You'll need to write down the codes you find, and smartphone batteries tend to die real fast.
You'll need to know when the rounds begin and end.
This will be a four-digit number, like A3B5. You tell seekers your secret code if you're found, and you want to collect the secret codes of others.
This'll be one of two teams, like Team A or Team B, or something like that. This determines when you hide and when you seek, and with whom you are aligned.
This'll be a zone number, like Zone #24 or something like that. Check the map to figure out where your home base is. That's where you meet the day of.
We try to pick landmarks. But if you don't know where something is, try searching for it in Google Maps.
Use your common sense.
Stay outdoors. Don't trespass. Don't bother anyone.
